

‘Shōbukai’ (正武会) means “correct martial association”. In this context correct means; correct teaching, correct training, correct technique, correct intention and correct spirit.
Traditional martial arts encourage physical fitness and flexibility, endurance, courage and the skills of timing, distancing and focus.
The aim of the Shōbukai is to provide a high level of training in martial arts, together with an understanding of both the physical and philosophical aspects that make them unique.
To achieve this goal, the Shōbukai (and Shōbukan Dōjōs) offers a unique level of learning that is rarely accessible outside of Japan.
